Do you need an online birth preparation course?
-
Something you can work on in your own time from home?
-
And the input of one of the UK’s leading childbirth experts?
Welcome to the circle!
An exclusive online antenatal course led by bestselling author and birth expert Milli Hill.
Although, I have to tell you, I really dislike describing myself as a birth expert!
This is because I believe that the true expert on you, your pregnancy, and your birth choices is…you!
I’ve written two bestselling books on childbirth preparation and I’ve run the world renowned Positive Birth Movement, supporting pregnant women daily, for eight years. I want to share my knowledge with you via this unique course.
I’m keeping up to date with my knowledge of birth under COVID-19, so that I can help inform you and support you in your birth choices. This course is tailored to reflect birth choices in the current pandemic, and includes a FREE copy of the bestselling Positive Birth Rescue Pack. (worth £30)
If you want to:
-
Create a positive attitude to birth
-
Make a birth plan for every scenario (not just your ‘ideal’ birth)
-
Learn how to maximise your chances of the birth you really want
-
Get confident about life with your new baby
then the circle is the right course for you.
The circle is now closed. To join the waiting list, please email me or join the PBM mailing list.
“Doing this course has made me feel safe, supported and informed (therefore empowered) about having a baby in a way I hadn’t dared hope could be possible. An absolute must for anyone embarking upon childbirth and motherhood.” Bryony O
How it works:
The circle is a comprehensive online antenatal course built by me, along with access to a members only facebook group.
You can work through the course at your own pace, but it’s structured to be done over a period of 4 weeks, with specific modules for each week.
I will be part of the Facebook group where we will form a community of information and support. Your membership of the facebook group is ‘lifetime’ – or for as long as you need.
The focus of the modules is on emotional preparation for birth and motherhood, as well as practical. This course will go far beyond the information about birth that can easily be found online, and take birth preparation to a new level. It will also bring you into a community of like-minded women with whom you can share your unique pregnancy journey.
The circle is currently being relaunched. Email me to join the wait list.
And I’m including my new course, Positive Birth Covid-19 Rescue Pack, for free to all circle members. The Rescue Pack is a collaboration with hypnobirthing expert Sophie Fletcher, to give women the tools for a positive birth in difficult times.
Due to the unprecedented situation with COVID-19 I am also open to spread payments, accept donations, or offer free places to anyone who is marginalised, isolated or unable to access antenatal classes.

Course Outline:
Week 1: What do I bring to birth?
This module will explore your birth expectations, exploring what you think birth might be like, and where you have got this information. The online course will give you tasks and exercises to help you reflect on your previous experiences of birth – whether they come from watching birth shows on TV or stories you have heard from friends and family. Troubleshoot some of the most common fears about labour, and look at how your own feelings about your body might impact on your birth experience, too.
Week 2: The Birth I Want
In the second week of the circle, you will be encouraged to focus your thoughts on the kind of birth you want, and why. You will look at the benefits on making a birth plan, and explore the concept of a Visual Birth Plan. By the end of this week you should have the tools to make several different birth plans for a variety of scenarios and types of birth. You will also learn the right places to look to find good evidence to support your choices, and how to stand up for yourself and what you want in your maternity care.
Week 3: Making my birth better
The third week is focused on how the choices you make can have an influence on the way that your birth unfolds. We’ll look at the importance of your birth environment, and of your mindset, on how you experience birth and how it goes on the day. This module also looks at the role your partner can play in maximising your chances of a positive birth – and there is a special section for them as well! Again the emphasis will be on how you can and should have a positive birth experience in all circumstances, even if your birth plan ‘goes out the window’!
Week 4: Looking towards the future
In the final week of the circle you will be encouraged to look beyond the birth itself – yes, I know that’s hard to do! However, how we feel about motherhood, and how ‘prepared’ we are, can have such an impact on how we birth and on how we feel about what happens next. We will explore this, and also make plans for a calm and fulfilling ‘babymoon’ – those first few days and weeks of motherhood. We will look at postnatal mental health and learn about the most common postnatal emotions, with a full guide of what to expect, how to spot if you need extra support and advice on where to find it. We’ll also look at some of the most common concerns of the first few weeks, such as sleep and bonding.

Testimonials:
“I was really anxious about being pregnant during the national pandemic, I was missing my friends, hugs & having doula support & treatments. Doing this course has kept me sane, calm and given me a place to feel supported not only by Milli but all of the other women in the circle so I’ve not felt alone & enjoyed my final weeks of pregnancy. The activities were fantastic as were the positive birth stories shared, birth films, live zooms and especially the chats on the Facebook group. I feel ready to give birth, I trust my body & am excited to meet my baby!” Fiona W
“I really enjoyed being part of Milli’s circle, it has definitely empowered me and given me a lot of tools, both practical and emotional. Giving birth is a challenging moment at the best of times, but knowing that I have the support of the circle – especially during this global pandemic – has definitely made me feel more informed, positive, and confident. I highly recommend it!” Daniela M
“I feel like without having done this course I would still be fearful of birth. I am actually excited about it now and happy that I have a positive feeling towards giving birth. Milli and the group has been a great help in making me not feeling alone or worried in all of this!” Natalie J
“Milli, I really just want to say thank you so much. I’ve got lots of work still to do but this has given me a great framework for it – I feel confident and positive in myself but it has really shone a light onto current fears and anxieties. I can’t thank you enough for your support.” Kelly S
